Artist Jules Wittock engraved two miniaturized mazes offering one entry, one exit and a way in-between that spells a word. Only at midnight and midday does the hidden message reveal itself through the maze.
Building on the TYPE 8, the TYPE 9 is graphically stripped down to its essence, indicating only hours and minutes.
Made in collaboration with artist Terumasa Ikeda, this 8 pieces limited edition brings centuries-old lacquer craft to a futuristic design. The result feels like a message from another galaxy.
On the TYPE 9, the Minute indicator is positioned outside the dial as a fixed bezel with engraved indexes, further emphasizing its compact design.
