Understanding the Ressence Certified Pre-Owned Program

Each Certified Pre-Owned Ressence watch goes through a rigorous process to ensure authenticity and quality:

• Inspection: Each watch is physically inspected by an Accredited Pre-Owned Partner following Ressence’s detailed guidelines, which are specific to each watch model. These guidelines ensure that the watch meets Ressence’s quality standards.
• Validation: The inspection results are then validated remotely by Ressence watchmakers before final approval.
• Authentication: The watch’s serial number and history are verified against Ressence’s official records to confirm its authenticity and eligibility for certification.
• Certification: Once authenticated, the watch is assigned a Certified Pre-Owned number that will ensure full traceability and transparency.
• Digital Certificate: Each Certified Pre-Owned watch comes with a digital certificate of authenticity, unique to the watch. 
• Warranty: Every certified watch is covered by a one-year extended warranty, reinforcing our commitment to quality and reliability.

For a watch to be part of the Ressence Certified Pre-Owned Program, it must:

• Be sold by an Accredited Pre-Owned Partner.
• Be listed on the official Ressence Certified Pre-Owned webpage.
• Have undergone the full inspection, authentication, and certification process.
• Be assigned a Certified Pre-Owned number and receive a digital certificate of authenticity.

Ressence does not sell watches directly through this program. All purchases through this program are conducted exclusively by our trusted Accredited Pre-Owned Partners.

Your Responsibilities as a Buyer

Maintaining the Warranty

The Certified Pre-Owned warranty covers manufacturing defects for one year from the date of purchase. It applies only to Ressence watches that are part of the Certified Pre-Owned Program. It covers functional defects and does not cover visual aspects. The warranty excludes damage caused by inappropriate use or handling of the watch. It excludes wear and tear, damage caused by accident, or careless handling.

Unauthorized modifications or repairs void the warranty. Only Ressence is authorized to perform repairs under warranty. To ensure the highest level of service and quality, all warranty-related repairs are carried out exclusively by Ressence.

If your watch requires servicing during the first year, it must be handled through the Accredited Pre-Owned Partnerwho sold it to you.

The warranty does not cover straps. However, you can purchase replacement straps directly through Ressence’s website: ressencewatches.com/collections/straps.

Authenticity & Program Integrity

The Certified Pre-Owned elements (including CPO logos, CPO numbers, and digital certificates) are strictly reserved for use by Accredited Pre-Owned Partners.

As an owner, you are not authorized to use these elements to promote, market, or certify your watch independently if you decide to resell it.

The integrity of the program relies on maintaining proper certification. Only watches sold by our Accredited Pre-Owned Partners and listed on the official Ressence Certified Pre-Owned web page are part of the program. In Case of Warranty Claims

How to Claim

During the first year, if a functional defect occurs, any repair request must be addressed exclusively to the Accredited Pre-Owned Partner who sold the watch. The buyer should not contact Ressence directly.

The Accredited Pre-Owned Partner will be responsible for handling the repair process and will arrange for the watch to be sent directly to Ressence.

After this first year, for any repairs outside the warranty, the buyer must contact Ressence directly at the following email address: cpo@ressence.be.
